STEP 1: REGISTRATION

At this point, you have already officially registered as you are receiving this email with further instructions.

So move to step two below...

Note: Media Release - By submitting, you acknowledge you are the rightful licensed owner to the video. You grant Downtown Alhambra Business Association and its affiliates the right to use the video in its entirety or any portion, including but not limited to likeness and all images contained in the video, video footage and/or audio recording in any and all of its publications, in all media known and unknown, including but not limited to website entry, without payment or any other considerations in perpetuity.

STEP 2: CREATE THE VIDEO

When creating the videos for submission, please follow the following guidelines below:

Filming Do's:

·      Use the two provided videos. Do not use any other versions of the song, as they will not sync up to our video.

·      Practice a few times before making the video.

·      Film in landscape mode.

·      Make sure to light the face and the area well.

·      Wear bright solid holiday color clothing, and dress appropriately.

·      Make sure everything in the background looks good and is family friendly. This is a G-rated project.

·      Feel free to be creative, use props and have fun.

·      Local businesses are welcomed to showcase their business locations in the video. Just remember to practice safe COVID protocol when recording the video.

·      SMILE!

·      Use a headphone to listen to the provided. DO NOT USE SPEAKERS. We cannot use any video with original music.

·      Film in a quiet place.

·      Use the lyrics provided.

For Dancers, follow submissions instructions from this how to video and below: https://youtu.be/Ef4C8Nbm5MI- Try your best to follow our video, especially the ending.

- Dancers are encouraged to improvise and show off their skills in the first half of the song.

Filming Don'ts:

·      Videos with foul language, inappropriate clothing or anything that is not G-rated will be automatically discarded.

·      Do not include anything that will give away personal information such as names, phone numbers, addresses.

·      Do not gather people outside your immediate household or break any government COVID safety protocols to create the video.

STEP 3: SUBMIT THE VIDEO

DEADLINE:  Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at 11:59pm, or the first 100 submissions accepted.

Editing:

·      Please trim the video to only the performance.

·      Please create the video in either .mp4 or .mov file formats. Other formats may not be compatible.

·      Keep files under 300MB

·      Please label files as: "SINGER-Your Name.mov" - OR - "DANCER-Your Name.mov"

·      Upload the video using this Dropbox link: https://www.dropbox.com/l/AACUi9CU_KGrQOAoGgRJiFA1CEKjYCoo5lA.

·      DO NOT EMAIL VIDEO. WE CANNOT ACCEPT ANY VIDEO EMAILED TO US AS FILES ARE TOO LARGE, SO USE THE DROPBOX LINK ABOVE.

**Downtown Alhambra Business Association reserves the right to reject any submission or to cancel the entire project at any time for any reason or no reason at all.

STEP 5: ACKNOWLEDGE RULES AND PROCESS

AFTER SUBMITTING YOUR VIDEO, PLEASE REPLY TO THIS EMAIL TO THE CONFIRMATION EMAIL THAT WAS SENT TO YOU, AND ACKNOWLEDGE THE SUBMISSIONS PROCESS AND RULES, DISCLAIMERS AND MEDIA RELEASE POLICY SET FORTH IN THIS PROCESS. YOU SIMPLY NEED TO REPLY TO THE EMAIL AND TYPE, "I acknowledge the process and rules.”

STEP 6: VIEWING THE FINAL COMPILATION VIDEO

Join us on Friday, December 4, 2020, at 6pm for the Downtown Alhambra’s online Virtual Tree lighting Ceremony livestream presentation.

On Saturday, December 5, 2020, stop by the Renaissance plaza between 3pm to 8pm to watch the video outdoors or visit http://www.downtownalhambra.com to watch the video online. The video will also be posted on Downtown Alhambra’s social media channels on Facebook and Instagram.
